By EJupiterOctober 31, in Support. I'd like to preface by saying I am very new to Runescape so my mechanics are not yet polished, but this also puppies for sale in california me a bit stumped. This works for 1 tick pray flicking for around repetitions before it no longer syncs correctly and the prayer drops allowing me to get hit. I have tried a lot of different timings and still get the same issue.
It will always eventually outsynch with game ticks, you could learn to do it yourself. Turn on game sounds and activate the prayer, deactive it when the sound comes up again. This is a bit odd to me - you're saying there's no way to script it? How do game ticks unsynch? That is confusing to think about for me.
I was researching if there was a way to start a script based on sounds as a workaround for this issue but couldn't find anything. Well considering you are sleeping a random amount of MS it will eventually lead to outsynch of the game tick you started it on lets say you start it right now.
Tick is currently at 0. Sooner or later the clicks wont be correct anymore to keep up the prayflick. I doubt this has any meaningful impact on the desynch. Perhaps my in game ping varying would have a bigger impact? Like I said previously I've also tried exact values. It would help if you pointed out which part of the script you were referring to.
This still produces the same desync after 5 repetitions. Well I think that second click is too long. Why dont you record yourself doing one tick flicking using like jitbit or automacrorecorder. See the ms delay between the clicks. You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account. Paste as plain text instead. All players start with limited access to the Prayer skill. As a player's Prayer level increases, they gain access to new prayers. As players traverse the land and complete many adventures, they find themselves presented with the opportunity to gain the prayers and blessings from various schools of thought represented by different gods.
Some of the strongest prayers are only available after doing certain members' quests or activities. Prayer is currently one of the quickest skills to achieve skill mastery in, as it is possible to reach level 99 in just a few days using the appropriate bones and methods; however, quickly training prayer tends to be expensive compared to other skills. Prayer is classified as a combat skill and is factored into the combat level formula.
Therefore, leveling up in Prayer may result in a higher combat level. The main free-to-play ways to train prayer are to bury bones and scatter demonic ashes. However, for RuneScape members, using bones or ashes on a gilded altar in a player-owned house 's Chapel is more efficient.
For wealthier members, reinforced dragon bones are a quick and easy way to reach level 99 Prayer, while semi-prosperous players can still level up with dragon bones.
Bones can be obtained by killing various creatures, by taking bone drops that other players leave behind, or by collecting the bones that spawn in various places, such as in parts of the Edgeville Dungeon or at the Chaos Temple in the southern Wilderness. Demon ashes can be obtained by killing demons or by taking demon ash drops that other players leave behind.
Prayer is difficult to train in free-to-play because the greatest renewable source of prayer experience is big boneswhich give only 15 experience when buried. Initially, it was believed that prayers are aligned specifically with Saradominand there are those on Gielinor who believed that prayers are a response from Saradomin.
However, Necrovarus' notes states that this is factually incorrect, although it is nevertheless believed by many on Gielinor. The notes state that prayer is actually energy harnessed from the dead by giving them a proper burial. Indeed, Yauchomithe former Lumbridge Prayer Tutoralso stated that burying bones raised the player's Prayer level by increasing their "holy energies". The actual connection between Prayer and the gods of Gielinorincluding Saradomin as well as others such as Zaros and Serenis that the unique energy obtained by giving the dead a proper burial could be channelled into receiving certain boons or curses, which may be aligned with a particular god.
Prayer, unlike most skills that are directly related to their name, cannot be trained just through the act of "praying". In fact, Prayer almost completely relies on destroying remains, such as by scattering demonic ashes or burying bones to gain experience.
On 25 Marchthe Prayer icon next to the minimap now next to the prayer bar on the action bar had a function added which expanded on its function as a simple meter. This new function was recognised as "quick prayers". It can now be left-clicked to activate, or deactivate, a group of Prayers preselected by the player simultaneously.
You can select which prayers are activated by right-clicking the button and choosing the "Select quick prayers" option. You can do the same with curses; the option changes to "Select quick curses". Quick curses and quick prayers are saved separately. Before the addition of this function, players had to, sometimes frantically, locate the Prayer icon and activate them one by one. This new function allows players to place many of the most useful prayers on immediate standby. The following scripts used when doing mouse intensive tasks, such as dropping items, cleaning herbs, etc.

I had myself a very pleasant conversation in-game with another clan-mate a few days ago about how best to learn Prayer Flicking, and after they got their feet, they suggested that I write up a guide on the forums to help anyone else who might want to learn this very useful skill! To begin learning how to 1-tick your Prayer Flicks using this method, you will first have to download the 3rd party client known as Runelite!
For anyone who isn't familiar, Runelite is an excellent 3rd party client that comes with tons of amazing features that enhance the OSRS experience. And by enabling a few specific options, you will have some excellent visual and if you wish, audible extras that will really help you get into the rhythm of correctly flicking your prayers every game tick!
Once you have Runelite installed and launched, begin by going into your Plugins Configuration menu by clicking the wrench in the top-right corner. From there, the plugin you are looking for is called "Prayer". Click the cog next to this plugin to enter the options menu for Prayer, as seen below. Inside this menu, we have a few options we need to enable. For starters, make sure that the Pray Flick Location is enabled You can choose to show a blue bar that appears above your character's head when Prayers are active, display it on the Pray Orb located next to the minimap, or enable both.
Next, make sure you check the boxes next to the options you want to enable. Some good choices are "Never hide prayer flick helper", "Show prayer orb tooltip", "Show prayer bar", and "Hide bar while prayer is inactive".
All of these are optional, but I highly suggest you enable the prayer bar, as it will definitely help with the timing. Now, once you have enabled your pray flick visualizers, it's time to learn what exactly this plugin does.
When you activate a prayer with these settings, you will see a blue prayer bar appear over your character's head.
With that blue bar, you should see a light-blue line moving from left to right across that bar. If you chose to enable the pray flick bar on the Prayer orb, the bar will instead appear on the Prayer button next to the minimap. Our goal is to quickly deactivate and reactivate our prayers before that bar goes completely across to the right side. If we time it correctly, we will be flicking our prayers and won't lose any prayer points, but will retain the full effect of whatever prayer we are flicking.
This can be done with the Prayer orb, or from the Prayer menu in-game. You can right-click the orb to configure which prayers will be activated when it is clicked, or simply do so from the Pray menu.
Once you decide which prayer you want to flick, start by turning the prayer on. Once the Prayer is active, you should see your blue bar appear above your player's head, which indicates your remaining prayer points.
That light-blue line will begin moving left to right across the bar. When it appears on the left side of the bar, quickly double-click either the Prayer orb or the Prayer you want to flick before the bar completes it's journey to the right side. The best way to monitor this is with an overhead prayer such as Protect from Melee.
At first, don't be discouraged if you can't seem to get the timing. An in-game tick operates at exactly bpm. If you are more of an audible person, there is another option we can enable that will give us an audible click on every in-game tick. This plugin is labelled "Metronome" and can be configured to click on specific ticks, or every tick in-game. Simply find that plugin and enable it, then set it to click on whichever tick you would like. With enough practice, and hopefully with the use of either the visual or audio plugins, you'll be 1-tick flicking in no time!
I hope this guide was of some help! I thought it would simply be too daunting.Want to upgrade your DreamBot experience? Consider signing up for VIP! Why dont you record yourself doing one tick flicking using like jitbit or automacrorecorder. See the ms delay between the clicks. I recorded myself flicking successfully without the prayer ever dropping for a minute straight and used a program that records mouse clicks records timings to a txt file as well as recording my screen and frame counting to back up the scripts data.
I'm not even sure if this is scriptable at this point. I can't figure this out. You're right, there is no "pattern" to detect unless you have perfect connection to the server. There is no such thing as a perfect ms tick unless you have really low latency ping to the server you are connected to, and it's not full of thousands of players like World 2.
After tinkering for the past couple days i wanted to share this. This is not perfect and duration relies on how close you activate to game tick.
When de-sync or bad activation timing, i just un-toggle and re-toggle until it feels right. You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account. Different bones give different amounts of experience. Prayers are unlocked as the level in the skill goes up, which are used to aid the player in combat. When prayers are activated, they drain the player's prayer points until the prayer is turned off or all prayer points are used. This is called prayer flicking.
The player can recharge all of their prayer points to full by praying at an altarwhich are most often found in churches. In addition, consuming prayer potionsSuper restoresand Sanfew serums will recharge prayer points proportional to the player's Prayer level, and consuming Jangerberries restores 1 prayer point each. On 6 Februarydata orbs were added and has given the Prayer icon the ability to select your quick prayers.
It can be left-clicked to activate, or deactivate, a group of prayers preselected by the player simultaneously. You can select which prayers are activated by right-clicking the button and choosing the "Setup quick-prayers" option. Before the addition of this function, players had to, sometimes frantically, locate the prayer tab and activate them one by one.
This function allows players to place many of the most useful prayers on immediate standby. It is very useful for prayer flicking.
Quick prayers can also be used as an easy way to turn off all prayers by double left-clicking it to turn quick prayers on, then off. The prayer tab contains all of the available prayers. To activate a prayer, simply click it. This will show a whitish circle around each active prayer, and will start to drain prayer points. All prayers up to Mystic Might are available for free-to-play players, but prayers from Retribution onward require the player to be on a members' server.
Additionally, Chivalry and Piety require completion of Camelot training roomand Preserve, Rigour, and Augury must be unlocked through prayer scrolls from Chambers of Xeric. Each point of prayer bonus slows the drain rate by 3. A general formula for the time interval between dropping prayer points with a given prayer bonus is:. For example, if a player uses the " Protect from Melee " prayer with a prayer bonus of 0, their prayer points would drain at a rate of 1 point every 3 seconds.
To generate a prayer bonus, players must equip certain types of armour, clothing, weaponsand jewellery. See Prayer items for more information. Prayer bonuses, however, do not help to stave off the side-effects of locations and monsters that drain Prayer.
Using the " Protect from Melee " prayer with this gear would result in 1 point drained per 9. Players have a prayer drain counterwhich starts at a value of 0. Additionally, each prayer has a prayer drain effect variable, and the sum prayer drain effect of all prayers currently activated is the total drain effect. For every game tick that a prayer is activated, the player's prayer drain counter value increases by the total drain effect of the prayers that are activated on that tick.
Players also have a prayer drain resistancewhich can be displayed by the formula: . Whenever a player's prayer drain counter value exceeds their prayer drain resistance, one prayer point is removed from that player's prayer points, and that player's current prayer drain counter value decreases by their prayer drain resistance.
This can occur more than once per game tick. This can result in prayer points being lost, even though a prayer may not have been consecutively active for its drain rate.
A skilled player may "prayer flick" by turning prayers on right before their effects are required, and turning them off immediately after. This will stop the prayer from continuing to drain Prayer points in between attacks. For prayer flicking involving Protection prayersfor example, the player will activate the prayer just before they are about to be hit, and turn it off immediately after the hit lands. This uses very few prayer points, and you can even avoid using prayer points at all if done quickly enough.
Although it requires timing and skill the game allows for some leeway on the timingdoing it successfully can save prayer points and allow a player to continue fighting monsters for much longer, or increase damage rates with offensive prayers.
If done perfectly, no prayer should be consumed regardless of how long you do the trick.
